Jiro is one of the best sushi chefs alive and his little shop is immaculate. They don't have apps or drinks. Just fish. It's the cleanest most simplistic approach to sushi making I've seen and really makes me want to go all the way to the Japanese subway that his shop is in. No one cares about sushi more than this dude. Awesome film.

Depends on what you consider good. It's not a delicious salt/fat/calorie bomb that sets your dopamine receptors on fire. In exclusively that sense, fast food onion rings are tastier than even the best sushi.

But if you enjoy foods for their subtlety and the minor variances, it's quite good. But it's only really good if you've had plenty of other, lower quality sushi. If your first ever sushi was Jiro's it would be whatever. Good but not mindblowing

It's hard to explain. It's delicious, but in a less in your face way. The same way a nice tea can be delicious, but a milkshake is gonna set your neurons ablaze. Jiro and top tier sushi in general is the worst price:quality ratio. You can get stuff for half the price that is like 98% the same quality. Though this is true of the top iteration of any food, really.
