They are available, but you really have to do your research. The same guys who did 'Moonwatch Only' also published a free separate PDF on the Holy Grail '(Holy Grail Only', I think it's called), so once you have gone through that, you can sort through all of the watches listed. Depending on the season, it's easy/difficult to find one that actually has all the right components based on the serial number. Once you get one, make sure you have a trusted watchmaker handy to open it up and confirm everything.

Parts can be a problem if anything goes seriously wrong; although you could get donor parts from the other 5100s, so it's not completely impossible.

If you want the central minutes for the chronograph, the Damaskos I think use them, and maybe Sinn too...I honestly can't remember. They're not true Lemania 5100s though; they use a modified Valjoux 7750. Still, central minutes is really easy to read. Good luck on the hunt.

OmegaA is still meaningless in terms of your identity but your posts follow you around on that site and you don't want to make enemies, whereas here you can choose to be completely anonymous by simply not posting pictures of your watch or not doing those distinctive multi-replies of yours.

Lack of genuine-ness notwithstanding, the Royal Oak and the Nautilus are inextricably tied by virtue of their designer and close release time.

The 222 and later Overseas came about much later and was designed by Joerg Hysek, if memory serves, so it's simply not as interesting. Similarly, Patek and AP are still both privately owned and independent, while VC is just a subsidiary of Richemont.

Currently testing how this citizen works. Found it on a box at granpa's house. A quick google search points that this watch is from the early 70's (1970-1971) and has spent the last 30 years in a box. I'm tired of people not being able to understand why the 39mm Explorer was a fucking abomination so here's a long autistic rant about it.
>REASON 1
The Explorer is a neo vintage watch. It only exists in Rolex' roster because of its iconic status, therefore it should be as close as possible to the original design, which was 36mm.
>REASON 2
The Explorer is the base of all professional Rolex. Both the Submariner and the GMT Master had THE SAME DIAL SIZE as the Explorer.
Making a 39mm Explorer breaks the continuity of Rolex' design language and it's fucking revolting.
>REASON 3
The proportions on the 39mm were all fucked up. Yes they changed the hands later but it still doesn't work because you're losing the compact design of the classic 36mm Oyster case.

If I was in charge of Rolex EVERY WATCH WITHOUT A ROTATING BEZEL would be 36mm and EVERY WATCH WITH A ROTATING BEZEL would be 40mm BECAUSE THIS IS THE TRADITIONAL OYSTER CASE DESIGN.

>inb4 "you're a wristlet"
I have above average wrists and wearing a 40mm Submariner right now
>inb4 "durrr watches are evolving, live with your times grandpa"
Mechanical watches peaked in the 60s. There's no point in trying to reinvent the wheel.
>inb4 "hurrrr nobody cares lmao"

This. Different watches look big or small depending on their context.
A 37mm diver can look elfin, while a 37mm dress watch can look like a dinner plate.

Case shape matters a ton as well. The Cartier Santos size L is 39mm. You'd think, "Oh, that's not so bad" but because it's square it looks like you're wearing a Panerai.

If you have an average sized wrist, 39-42mm is generally appropriate for a sports watch, 35-36mm is generally appropriate for a dress watch.
Coincidentally, if you buy a Rolex GMT-Master II and a Day-Date, that's exactly what you end up with.
