Why? Animation has only gotten worse as the years have gone on, and the only thing ZUN would want from an anime would seeing his girls in motion, which would require him getting one of the rotating door employees studios like MAPPA since if the thousands of PV's didn't sate him he'd clearly want nothing but the absolute "highest of quality."

It wouldn't make him money, there's already countless merch lines and shitty gacha games he almost certainly gets some cuts from, it'd only spit on the doujin spirit which he's against inb4 moriyashrine timeloop by retards with 0 critical thinking skills and I doubt he wants to be walking down a line of animators advising them on how to properly make Touhou in motion. I seriously can't even begin to see an argument for wanting an official anime aside from maybe finding the old Anime Tenchou work which is a different story entirely.
