>1.4 billion "people"
>Trillions of dollars in R&D every years
>Stealing, copying and ripping off every western invention and IP they can get their hands on
>Still 20-50 years behind the West in technology, similar technological level and basic research as India and other 3rd world African nations

Why are they like this?

Because not too long ago over a million Chinese still lived in caves. They're advancing rapidly but it'll still take a while to close the gap.

>> No.16160719

The gap will continue to narrow, but never close because they're still ultimately dependent on stealing from the US, EU, or Russia. They've gotten incredibly proficient at stealing, to be sure, but it's stealing nevertheless. It's why China's growth has actually slowed so much over the decade - transitioning from exponential growth to barely linear; their shameless thievery has basically narrowed the gap as much as it can.

What's going to be interesting to watch is how the next decade goes for China. Their societal development is about a decade behind their technological improvement and economic growth and is mirroring the same exponential trend that their economy and technology were showing a decade ago. If the former continues without adjusting for the changes in the latter, they could very easily implode. India's facing the same issue (although they're likely to have a far more disastrous implosion).

The 21st century isn't going to be marked by China and India replacing the Western hegemony, but rather by them either *significantly* scaling back or collapsing.

is this a satire because it's not true at all. they're ahead in many areas like green energy, material sciences, software.
they're behind in hardware/equipment mostly because it took hundred of years to develop those in the west. however, china is catching up fast with their chip industry is like 3-5 years at most behind the west.

>> No.16160749

I'm legitly suggest that retards who think china is 50 years behind the west try to use their website and some of their apps/software. also, travelling to china is a great vacation.
you're understimating your adversities when your country has turned into hellhole. that's super dumb.

why is china supplying the USA with fetanyl via Mexico? because no other country in the world has the capablity to produce that much pure fetanyl on a massive scale like china.

In the 1850s, the Japanese were a feudal iron age society. Less than a hundred years later they were an industrial superpower that gave the US Navy a serious run for their money. Why can the Japanese rapidly advance while the chinese wallow? Because the chinese have no souls.

Actually it isn't that hard if you put the money, in the west chemphobia kinda killed the sector, except for big corpos.
But in China the chemical industry is huge and there're a lot of small firms willing to make precursors mostly for their pharmaceutical industry. China supplies like 80% of active pharmaceutical ingredient worldwide, the fentanyl trade is mostly legal (blame the people giving fentanyl prescriptions). The smuggled fentanyl comes from Mexico and it's made in situ by cartels, a problem that Mexico government and the US (DEA) haven't solved in decades...

Why again do my handlers make me work for the ability to pay 'development aid' to two or more countries that have fucking space programs conducting lunar missions while mine does not ?
Are they implying as long as distribution of wealth in those systems is problematic the west will continue to pay ?

Culture. It's witty and clever to cheat to win because you capitalize while not using your own resources. In game theory this is a strategy in the real world it's retarded leeching because we all see it go down.

They're """ahead""" because they undercut Western wages and crashed the price of solar panels and steel with a rigged exchange rate. In software it's because they have no regulations on lootbox mechanics and spyware

Those countries have been exploited by the west for way more than you're paying in. Maybe it's a kind of balance.
What country are you in? I do relate to your frustration.

not really, it's more like a deal. china traded pollution for technology transfer. western countries promised Deng Xiaoping technolgy transfer to help the US crush USSR. western countries were volunteerily sending their tech as part of the deal.

This. The way they went about EV is asinine. Cheap shit that engulfs in flames the second you put the car through its paces, but no matter because economic damage to EU is worth more and now they shape and control the market.

this is literally false, nigger.
china supplies EVs batteries for Tesla. even BYD source batteries for Tesla. if china EVs are burning here and there often, Tesla EVs must be doing the same.

If China does leapfrog USA and EU technologically, say it comes up with new fusion tech, new biotech, whatever, it'll be interesting to see their reaction if we start stealing it and disregarding IP rights etc, just as they've been doing for a long time now. No doubt they will be pissed but they won't have much of a leg to stand on ethically
