/vr/ - Retro Games

I just beat this game (mostly) blind and it only took me a few hours. While it has some tough spots, you can just fly over most of them. The final boss took a couple of tries and even still, it only took maybe 30 minutes of attempts.
Overall it was good but definitely not that hard.

>finally get to Dracula
>die fairly quick but I see the pattern and feel I can do better on my last life
>don't restart at the stairs

>start back at door with spider and whip skeleton
>die at swinging pendulums and start back at beginning of stage with the Ravens
>keep playing make it back to Dracula several times
>finally defeat his 1st form and see his 2nd form
>defeat it first try excited that I finally beat the game
> HE HAS A 3RD FORM
I really really like this game anons... but holy shit this is brutal. At least let me start back at the stairs like CV1.

Castlevania is Ninja Gaiden but slower

Which is the best Classicvania and why is it CV3?

Just a great orchestrated version of Castlevania III's opening, gives me goosebumps during the part when the title appears in the actual game.

Someday I’m gonna beat this damn game. If I can beat the OG MM series I can beat this… but man is it hard.
