Fucked if I know, I just assume some retard CEO was like "Clearly if we put this guy's name on the front cover, that makes this better and people will want to buy it more!"
This is also why this game is a bitch to find on digital storefronts, the addition of McGee's name results in some shitty legal red tape mumbo jumbo bullshit.

the sequel is very good. this one, well, early 3d didnt age that well and the same can be said about the clunky gameplay. ost is quite good though.

>McGee had a number of stepfathers when growing up until his mother finally settled into a relationship with a trans woman. When McGee was sixteen, he came home from school and found his house empty and abandoned; the only things left were his bed, his books, his clothes and his Commodore 64 computer. His mother had sold the house to pay for two plane tickets and the fee for her girlfriend's gender confirmation surgery, leaving him on his own. He packed up his computer, dropped out of high school and took a variety of odd jobs, finally settling on a Volkswagen repair shop.[5]

Sequel has more polished gameplay but it's unfinished and generally soulless compared to the first game
The sequel also has an extremely forgettable OST, which was one of the strong points of the original

>One episode gets the most re-runs: the one where American finally meets his natural father, and the old man tries to gouge his son's eyes out.
>That 13th birthday party, held at his sister's Dallas house, is the only time McGee remembers meeting his dad.
>"When I got there, my sister said, 'Oh, I've got this wonderful surprise for you,'" American recounts. "And there was my dad, playing guitar and drinking from a bottle."
>The senior McGee offered his son a ride home in his truck. And it quickly became clear to the boy that that the man was stinking drunk.
>"When we got to my mom's house, he invited himself in. And then he started literally attacking me, shouting stuff like, 'I brought you into this world, and now it's time I took you out.... He jumped on me, held me down on his lap.
>"He tried to kill me, putting his thumbs in my eyes."
>Somehow, the 13-year-old convinced the adult to "take both of their cars" to a bar and get drunk. Luckily, the father agreed.
>"Otherwise, I probably would've ended up molested or dead," McGee said.
>They got no more than 100 feet away when American's dad crashed into a telephone pole.
>"My mom said she'd call the police on me, because I 'stole' her car" to lure his father to the bar.

One of my favorite games. Great OST and atmosphere. Here's a link to download it, just have to extract and play. Has a bunch of fixes included.

The only thing that's a little clunky is the jumping, there's a bit of a delay sometimes when she jumps. But other than that it just plays like a decent third person shooter. The weapons are a lot of fun once you start figuring out how to use them together in combination with each other.

He probably wanted to just call it Alice or something, but something like that would have been too generic to copyright so EA must have told him his weird-ass name is marketable and he should add it to the name of the game.

it's not soulless at all, it's literally a generic platform carried by a great art direction and semi-horror atmosphere. if anything deserved to be played only because is a game full of soul among so many generic cashgrabs.
